I am trying to establish the value of an album of 20 postcards of Ypres postcards from the first world war period for an elderly friend of mine but I have no experience in this field. The album is intact and the cards are in twos, with before and after the war pictures in black and white. they appear to be in good condition - no marks and neat edges. The name on the front and back is NELS in red, within a red circle and underneath on the reverse is Ern. THILL, Bruxelles.

Hi,
One was sold for 10 €: Link (http) , and a few more are for sale around 20 €: Link (http) , Link (http) , Link (http) , Link (http) etc.
For once the prices are rather close. But this album doesn't seem to be in high demand.
This kind of album was very common propaganda stuff...
To get this information, you can use the site's search engine to find the items for sale, and click 'Completed - Sold only' to find the sold items.
I used the keywords 'Ypre* destruct*' to allow for mistakes...

bonsoir cousin manny,
this has always been one of the other sad things about war other than the destruction of human lives. and unfortunately, i have seen both, years ago in vietnam and my son in iraq.
