I'm new here, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what the best way to sell an old album of vintage postcards--should I sell the cards individually or sell the whole album as a unit? It seems like I would definitely profit more by selling them individually, but it would also take more time and the money would trickle in rather than getting a lump sum. Also, I kinda hate to break up the album as it was a collection belonging to a very kind elderly lady, who passed away about 6 years ago. The cards range in date from 1902 through about 1930, I believe. There is a whole series of San Francisco earthquake postcards from 1906, as well as two complete sets depicting the city of Boston and the state of Alaska by the American Souveneir Printing Co. Many cards are unused, while others have stamps, postmarks and handwritten greetings on them. Most are in very good condition and have been in this album all their lives.
Anyway, I am just trying to figure out the best way to handle the sale of the postcards, so if anyone has ideas or thoughts, please feel free to post. I appreciate it
