I have been given a box full of stamps. There is a lot of different varieties in there. My question is, how do I tell if any of these are of any value, I would not want to throw them away, could you recommend a website for me to look at or books from anywhere, eg. Library.

as you live in england, i would advise you to use your library system to find catalogs to use to value your stamps. i believe you have an excellent library system there. you also have the online stanley gibbons catalog which is free. however, there are no images. here is the link to it:

no problem, always glad to help. my dad was stationed in england many years ago when i started the first grade in louisiana. actually, about 52 years ago. wow, sure don't seem it was that long ago. boy, am i gettin' along in age.
