Customs information
Persons who qualify to bring in their own used personal effects without import duty and tax are:-
- Diplomats on a full-privileged status.

-  Expatriates who obtain a working permit.(permit for one year)

-  Returning Resident who has been staying abroad for more than 12 months.

-  The arrival of shipment must be within 6 months upon the owner’s arrival.

-  Reasonable quantity for person is usually each of major appliances, one liter of liquor and 200 cigarettes.

-  Each person is allowed for two shipments, one by air and the other by sea.

-  To avoid any customs problem of the food, please load into the end of container.

-  To bring in a motor vehicle, the owner must obtain a permit prior to importation. Its specifications such as year,

   engine power, brand, model, color, etc are required.

- Prohibited items are firearms, ammunition, short-wave radios, medical equipment, gold, silver and pornographic

  literature.
